About our Performers:
Traditional West African music meets contemporary jazz in a captivating display of beauty and virtuosity. Jed, John Hughes and  Dave:

Dave Kobrenski ...
Dave is a multi-instrumentalist who has been leaving audiences speechless for two decades with his expressive and emotional playing of the Fula flute, a unique three-holed woodwind that he describes as "the voice of Africa itself taking flight on the wind." He also plays the kamale ngoni (a 12-string, bluesy harp/lute from Mali), the calabash, and the djembé.

He is also the author of several books,
and will be unveiling his latest book on this special night.

Jed Wilson ...
Jed has been here many times with Heather Masse. Subtle, inventive, and full of joy – those are some of the ways listeners have described the piano music of Jed Wilson. A crowd-favorite, Jed is equally at home in the disparate worlds of jazz, free improvisation, and folk music. His virtuoso playing is matched only by his sharp wit and sense of humor on-stage.

John Hughes ...
John is an internationally renowned composer and player of the kora, an ancient 21-stringed West African harp. John's playing crosses myriad cultural boundaries and fuses disparate influences, and has an uncommon beauty that is exquisitely detailed and bold.

What is a Barn Aisle Dinner?
During the dreaded pandemic, we did five course dinners in our smaller barn with performances in between courses. It was silver lining and became a cool interactive dinner event that we all really love. So we decided to carry that spirit into the main stage to present unique perforomances and gather for a meal

How does it work?

Enjoy a five course meal in the main hall. After each course these talented artists will perform and enlighten you until the next course is served.
How this works ... You will be served 5 courses tonight and after each course you will hear sleigh bells!!! That is your cue to put your forks down and quiet the room to be treated to performance. Something for everyone, and it is a unique way to experience all the SMAC has to offer.

Dinner is 65. 00 and includes

a five course dinner and performace segments
(does not include tax, tip or additonal beverage)

Start Time: 6:00 on the dot! (doors open 5:30)
You don't want to miss a course or a performance!!!
