The Facility:
The Stone Mountain Arts Center nestled in the Foothills of the White Mountains in Brownfield, Maine is a beautiful room with a cathedral ceiling and antique church lighting. The star of the room is a grand stand of tree like windows lording over the stage. It is handicapped accessible, heated, air conditioned, and acoustically superior. It has become one of the most popular concert venues in the country in its three year existence, and people are traveling from all over to come to this now premier destination spot amid the White Mountains in Western Maine.
The Show: Rooster Revue is all about variety. Hosted by nationally acclaimed folk singer Carol Noonan, the show has lots of great music, laughs, and fun. Not too long and not too short. Just the right amount of entertainment to get you home before dark! Carol will invite a number of guests to help her entertain you.
Please watch our video (controls will appear when you mouseover the movie). This was recorded at a recent Rooster Revue Luncheon for Red Hatters. This event featured an original song written and performed by Carol Noonan along with a custom Red Hat mobile designed by local artist Peter Blue.
Below are some others you "might" see on the Rooster Revue:
Carol Noonan critically acclaimed singer songwriter, famous for her renditions of Irish, English, and American traditionals. Noonan's wit is as quick as her high notes are beautiful, and her "Danny Boy" has sold her thousands of albums all over the world.
"No one hypnotizes quite the way that Carol Noonan does. She's a deeply
honest, soul-piercing singer." - Steve Morse/Arts Editor Boston Globe
Mike Miclon...funny man Mike takes on a cast of zany self played characters who will have you rolling in the aisles. He juggles, mimes, does magic, and is just all around entertaining. He is a one man show that is always a laugh riot.
Katy Noonan...a soulful singer whose harmonies blend seemlessly with sister Carols'. It's hard to tell who's singing what part when these two lassies sing together.
Julia Hendrickson.......a lovely flute player who's renditions of any kind of beautiful song, will warm your hearts.
Sonny Barbato...... our main man Sonny does most of the accompanying. A top notch pianist, his accordion playing will always add that special spice. Forget what you ever heard about the accordion, Sonny will make you fall in love with the romantic sounds of this tradtional instrument.
